SuperC PIs take part in the new "Simons Collaboration on New Frontiers in Superconductivity" (1. November 2024)

SuperC leader Päivi Törmä is the Co-Director of this new collaboration which is led by SuperC PI B. Andrei Bernevig. The aim of this collaboration is to advance theoretical understanding of superconductivity phenomena thereby opening up new avenues for research beyond what is currently known.

SuperC Winter Workshop sparked lively discussions (8. February 2024)

The SuperC consortium got together on 30. January and 7. February 2024 to discuss the latest developments and challenges in an online workshop which saw over 30 participants from worldwide. The next planned event is our summer workshop in Spain in August 2024. Updates will be posted on this site.

SUPERC 2033 HIGHLIGHTED IN AALTO NEWS ARTICLE ON QUANTUM TECHNOLOGY (12. JANUARY 2024)

Aalto University published a recent article pointing out trends and developments in Quantum Technology in Finland, aimed at policy makers. Among other achievements in the Finnish Quantum Technology landscape, Päivi Törmä and SuperC's efforts were specifically mentioned as one leading effort.

PROF. DMITRI EFETOV WINS LEIBNIZ PRIZE (12. DECEMBER 2023)

SuperC group leader Dmitri Efetov was recently awarded the Leibniz prize by DFG for his work on graphene. On behalf of SuperC, congratulations!

SuperC summer workshop 2023 was a definite success (12. September 2023)

SuperC organized a first get-together from 28. August to 1. September 2023 near Nuuksio National Park in the south of Finland.

SuperC secures significant funding from Finnish Foundations (6. July 2023)

SuperC has now received over 3 Million Euros in funding from Finnish Foundations including the Jane & Aatos Erkko Foundation, the Keele Foundation and Magnus Ehrnrooth Foundation.
